Treats to enjoy Under the Flower Canopy of Le Fleur Cafe

Ambiance

Stepping inside Le Fleur Cafe is virtually like stepping inside a forest of flowers that give guests a refreshing and relaxing feeling.    Flowers cascade from up the ceiling like an inverted garden, in colors that are vibrant and alive.   Aside from the attractive hanging flowers, ornamental plants are also tastefully arranged around the cafe, completing the elegance and stylish appeal of the interiors.   One can tell that the design inside was very well thought of.

Around the walls are inspiring messages that encourage people to think positively while sipping and savoring the aroma of their favorite coffee, tea or what-have-you.  Whatever state you are in upon getting inside, you will surely be a changed individual after reading the inspiring and encouraging messages around you.  During quite hours, it's great to simply just take in the words of wisdom around you and contemplate on them.

Le Fleur Cafe can seat 25 people in the peak hours.    The space is ample enough to move around, not cramped, but maximized to its capacity.   There is a couch area for those who want to lounge and  enjoy the soft cushions; there is an area for garden tables, where people can enjoy reading their stuff:  bestseller paperbacks and school notes.

Location:

Le Fleur is located in an academic area.  There are two tertiary education institutions located near it, so it would not be a surprise if it is frequented by students or faculty of both universities:  The FEU-NRMF which is popular for its medical courses.  It is a branch of the famous FEU located in Morayta St. in Manila City.    The other institution is the National College of Business Administration, Fairview Branch.    Its physical location is at the Cheriss Residence, 19-A Rolex Street.

What to Order here

And now, i'm sure you are dying to know what are the best items to order from their menu:  Here are the top items on my list:

Tea is served in elegant cups and saucers like the one on the pic above

Their one-of-a-kind tea concoctions that are created by the owner herself, Sea Quiambao, and always freshly steeped.   The green tea leaves are steeped only when ordered by guests, so you can expect a consistent flavor from their own concoctions.  Definitely a must-try for those who are tea lovers.  You can choose from either two flavors:  The Sunrise Brew, which is green tea flavored with orange, that's why there is a tangy taste to it.  The other green tea variation is the Blossom  tea, which has a natural sweet taste because of the apple flavor added to it.  You can order them hot or cold and they are served in elegant cups and saucers, you want to savor each sip like the Chinese do.  Each teapot costs P135.

Spanish sardines costs P160/serving

Their version of Spanish sardines pasta which is subtly spicy and sour because of the abundance of olives, though some are not really fond of them, but, the flavor of olives add to the richness of the flavor of their Spanish sardines.    What I like about their Spanish sardines pasta is the quality of ingredients starting from the noodles.  It is less greasy and flavor is enhanced with just the right amount of cheese.

Baked macaroni costs P160/serving

Le Fleur's baked macaroni served with toast which is just enough to fill you without feeling like you've overeaten.  It leaves you with enough space to try other items like their milk teas, excellent cakes and coffee.

Creamy Spam carbonara costs P160/serving

Their unique spam carbonara.  I did not even know that this was possible, but yes, Le Fleur's talented kitchen staff made it! How innovative is that?  What better way to make carbonara tastier, right?  I'm sure you spam lovers out there would enjoy seeing your favorite made into a pasta special.

Grilled cheese sandwich which costs P120

They also have sandwiches for those who want to eat light.  This is their grilled cheese, and apparently a favorite of some guests.  It comes with some cassava chips, that can be purchased separately per pack.   I'm such a grilled cheese lover so, this is part of my usual fare.

Le Fleur's brewed coffee.  Just the right quantity
in this elegant cup and saucer.
Easy to consume and stays warm to the last sip.
