Boy Kanin five-year Anniversary Deals and Goodies

Boy Kanin is Ronda Pilipinas's Benefactor As part of its outreach and community service activities, Boy Kanin will sponsor the annual road cycling competition participated by professional cyclists Ronda Pilipinas.  It is usually held in the first quarter of the year in the country; and being that Mr. Callao himself is a sportsman and a cycling enthusiast, he pledged that this year's champion is going to be recipient of a  Boy Kanin franchise.  Isn't that grand?   Last February 15, 2018, the contract of the sponsorship for such event was sealed between Mr. Callao and the representative of LBC Sports Development, Ms. Bernadette Guerrero.  The contract signing was held at the Boy Kanin Cabuyao Branch owned by Mr. and Mrs. Ariel Batas.

Who would have thought that our homegrown fare found commonly in turo-turos or in carinderia  will be glamorized and packaged attractively and sold in affordable rates in the fast-growing food chain, 'Boy Kanin?'      Five years ago, Mr. Ronald Callao, President and CEO of MB Flavored Rice Corporation, conceptualized the creation of Boy Kanin when he noticed that most food chains sell Chinese-influenced food.   He thought of using the ubiquitous rice in his menu because 99% of Filipinos are rice-eaters.   What started out as a food stall selling  well-loved popular Filipino dishes like Beef Pares, Adobo, Caldereta, Pinoy Teriyaki and all-day breakfast favourites like Tapsilog, Tocilog, Longsilog and Liemposilog, evolved quickly and the simple food cart, grew into a food kiosk and eventually into dine in branches.   Boy kanin is no longer just about budget meals in a box, because the  choices have also widened.  The recent addition to their menu is the  Pinoy "

Six Multi-awarded Chinese Films featured at The 12th Spring Film Festival

One of the major events for the celebration of the Chinese New Year 2018 is the 12th Spring Film Festival which will officially open on February 13 and run until Feb 18, 2018.  It has been a tradition for the Ateneo De Manila University Ricardo Leong Center for Chinese Studies to organize the film fest in order to promote Chinese language and culture in mainstream Philippine society, particularly among young Filipinos.  They believe that by doing so these young Filipinos may become bridges between the Philippines and China and foster a better relationship between the two countries and the two cultures.    Together with Film Development Council of the Philippines, and Credit Suisse, with the cooperation of Ateneo Celadon, and Shangri-La Plaza and Shang Cineplex,  the 12th Spring Film Festival will feature six multi-awarded Chinese Films all of different genres.   Avid movie goers  will have the opportunity to see the following movies for free:   OUR SHINING DAYS (
