Zipping down the ZIPLINE at Tagaytay Picnic Grove

On weekends, one of the most visited areas in Tagaytay, which is just about an hour drive away from Manila, is the Tagaytay Picnic Grove.  Just like myself, people come here for various reasons.   I particularly appreciate the cool breeze that comes from Taal Lake.  It is one of the things that invite people to come here.  This day, I would see a lot of families enjoying their Saturday together.    Youngsters take advantage of the soft wind and flew kites, while their companions enjoy the food that they brought for their dry picnic.  This weekend, I came to Tagaytay to finally try the one thing that I have wanted always.  The ZIPLINE.  For me, it is the ultimate test of my courage, well, not until I would be able to ride the Edgecoaster in Cebu City.  But I will cross that bridge when I get there.  For now,  my hurdle would be the ZIPLINE. Only one and half-hour ride from Manila, Tagaytay offers a breathtaking view of Taal Lake - Taal is a lake inside an island which is inside a lake (you need to see it for yourself to know what I am talking about). People taking a respite from the city life can just hie off to Tagaytay and enjoy the calm scenery and refreshing atmosphere. Tagaytay hotels and resorts are ideal venues for trainings, conferences and retreats. A must try for visitors is Mushroom Burger. It has a distinct taste that one will surely enjoy. Tagaytay is also a recreational place. You may try horse-backriding for only P700 but prices may vary for a group tour. A bangka (a local canoe) ride is necessary to go to the lake and volcano.
