The other day I saw a post in Facebook about a woman complaining in a forum called Tambayan ni Berto. Her complain was that she sent money through LBC Express, P24,000+ to her brother and a cousin in Las Pinas. The money was supposed to be used for their tuition fee. The woman claimed that after she sent the money to the LBC branch in Novaliches, she did not text the tracking number to her brother until the next day. The following morning, she was surprised when she allegedly received a text saying that her brother had received the money. This happened when she hasn't texted him the tracking number and that the money was received in a branch in Cebu.

The woman who alleged that she lost money wouldn't file a complaint right away, but eventually relented. The matter is still under investigation by LBC's people. I found it curious that anyone could get her money without the tracking number. I was particularly interested because I receive money all the time from my wife who works in Singapore. Not only do I receive money, I also receive packages from LBC and sometimes I would send packages to my wife via LBC. For more than 5 years, we have always used the services of LBC, and I have never encountered any problems.


Im not saying that the woman's complaint may have been invalid but there seemed like her story was riddled with holes. I wish people would stop posting hateful and smearing posts on Facebook and elsewhere because it misleads people. Smearing is both illegal and immoral. Let's not engage in that activity.

Circle of Fun is the Latest attraction in Quezon City Memorial Circle

I was in Quezon Memorial Circle this afternoon and I chanced upon this mini amusement center currently being constructed inside the big Quezon City landmark.  This new attraction at the QCMC showcases thrilling rides like the Wild Wind.  This is actually like the Space Shuttle of Enchanted Kingdom in Santa Rosa, Laguna.  It is a modified form of the traditional roller-coaster.  There are also rides for the little ones like the usual water bump cars.  And the horror rides which I will dare not ride because I do not have the kind of heart that can withstand intense fear.   While I laud the Quezon City government for this endeavor of providing a small amusement park for the residents of Quezon City so that they do not have to go all the way to Star City or Enchanted Kingdom to be able to experience the different rides, I can't help but feel dismayed over the changes in the scenery inside the memorial.  I frequented the place way, way back whe...

Astig ang ATV sa Mt. Mayon!

    One of the reasons that tourists go to Mt. Mayon in droves is the ATV Adventure.   This activity allows tourists to go to the foot of Mt.  Mayon and see the beauty of this great lady up close by means of an all-terrain vehicle.  Up there, visitors can also enjoy the view of the city of Legaspi.  They can also savor the scent of the clean mountain air and get lots and lots of photographs amid the verdant background.  ATV stands for all-terrain vehicle.  This transportation is especially built to enable riders to get past all kinds of terrain , may it be rough, rocky, watery, sandy, muddy, hilly, etc.  It is basically automatic, but it also has gears (I wouldn't know when to use them, if you ask me.)    Before I started my three-hour drive to the foot of Mt. Silay City: Vigan of the South and The Paris of Negros

While enjoying my breakfast of adobong baboy and hot beef soup in Mam and Sir Diner located along the high way in Silay City, I noticed that most of the people around me were mestizas and mestizos so the curiouser I got about the history, not only of Silay but also of Negros Occidental.
