Create Birthday Memories at Sambokojin Smokeless Grill

If you don't mind a few strangers singing you the birthday song while the people in the nearby tables are looking, then I encourage you to celebrate your birthday in Sambokojin.  Sambokojin has this promo where someone who is celebrating his birthday can enjoy a free buffet meal which is worth 699 on weekends and 669 on weekdays.   The promo is good  for three days before the actual date, three days after the actual date of the birthday and the day itself.   Only the companions of the  celebrator will pay for their meals while the celebrator gets a complimentary buffet meal.  He has to produce a valid ID containing his birth information to qualify for the promo though, so you had better prepare it before you make a reservation.

Sambokojin has four convenient branches that you can go whichever is convenient for you.  They have a branch in  Edsa, Eastwood, Alabang and West Avenue.   We went to Eastwood City and it was a meal that certainly raised the bar of buffet meals to several notches.  The price, food, ambience and service were really worth what we paid for.

Because I love Korean cuisine, especially the grilled dishes, I was able to get my fill of grilled pork slices, or what we call the samgyeopsal.   There was also a never ending supply of seafood such as shrimp.   For Japanese food, I feasted on different kinds of tempura and maki, though I had to eat leisurely so that I don't get full fast.

The good thing about Sambokojin is their service.  I have not met any crew or staff that is ready to replace the grill plate (round thing in the middle of the table) without you having to call them.  They seem to miraculously just appear after you have used your grill plate twice or thrice.  Even for this alone, I would recommend Sambokojin.  I got impressed at how they take care of the needs of their customers.

I only have one wish and that is for their cake selection to be more plentiful and also if possible they could serve other kinds of desert aside from cake and ice cream.  Or if they want to only serve cake and ice cream, there should at least be more choices because the desert that night left a lot to be desired. But who knows, weekday treats might be a different story.

Sambo Kojin is actually the name of the Japanese Kitchen God and Sambo Kojin is the home of  traditional Yakiniku.  Yakiniku means grilled meat, a cooking style that is shared by both the Japanese and Korean.  Sambo Kojin offers in its fare a fusion of Japanese and Korean Yakiniku.  It's Yakiniku in its finest.
