Iba, Zambales: Bakasyunan sa Baybay Dagat

Get a load of the dramatic Zambales sunset at Bakasyunan sa Baybay Dagat.

Bakasyunan sa Baybay Dagat is located at Barrio Amungan in Iba, Zambales about 4 hours drive from Manila. Bakasyunan is amazing since its waters were never deep and always lukewarm, that you always want to submerge yourself under them. You can go as far as 300 meters from the shore but not fear you'd drown.

This is a view of the sea at Zambales. It is kept clean by a regular beach clean-up.

Aside from swimming in the beach, visitors can amuse themselves at the many recreational facilities that Bakasyunan offers. One of them is the fishing lagoon.

Visitors can also try putting at this mini-golf-course.

Or try a volleyball game or two.

And take a quick dip in the inviting pool, anytime of the day.

Bakasyunan in Zambales has facilities that would accomodate everyone from all walks of life. Like this medium-sized hut which is ideal for families.

And smaller huts which is good for smaller groups or couples.

There are tiny cottages which can be used for day picnics.

And for the A-B class, some airconditioned rooms can be availed, like this one.

De-luxe rooms which are not really pricey.

350 meters off the shore of Bakasyunan is a coral area where visitors can snorkel and go coral-looking.

I truly enjoyed breathing in the fresh air from underneath these tall coconut trees. It's totally tropical.

If you want other activities like billiards and dart games, just go up this refreshment area, where you can have a swig of your favorite drink while playing these games.

Like anywhere else, do keep an extra eye on your stuff and be vigilant of other visitors and nothing will go wrong. Enjoy your holidays! (the model is good friend Migo Panganiban)

Great info, thanks! We also plan to go there next summer and there will be about 14 of us. Have you got photos of the Family Beachfront cottage? Is it a good option compared to the other units?

Jingle Bells,

Beachfront houses are currently underrenovation and might be ready by summer. Yes, they are quite big and great for families and for 14 people.
